Native American Inspirational Quotes
Native American Wisdom is the foundation of this country (the United States).
WOW! Now that’s quite a statement, but it is a truth. The first documents that were used by the ‘founding fathers’ of this land were derived from the way the Iroquois nation governed themselves.
Of course, to look at what the laws and constitution have evolved to today, you would probably not recognize the beauty of the original wisdom.
And it was the use of that Indian wisdom that taught the first pioneers about the plants that are used for food and medicine. Without the knowledge shared by American Indians, the new settlers would not have survived.
So when you ask why Native American wisdom is important, you begin to realize that you are already immersed in it. The United States of America began its journey with the utilization of Indian wisdom to survive, grow and prosper.
In fact, it has been theorized that without the Indian wisdom of that time this nation may not have become one of the strongest super powers of the world.
Native American culture is based on relationships…
It acknowledges that all living beings are related, and have a responsibility to treat all others with dignity and respect.
This includes not only all of humanity, but also the four-leggeds, the wingeds, the swimmers, the crawlers…
Also to appreciate your relationship with the four elements: Earth, Water, Air and Fire.
First and foremost, as two-leggeds (human BEings), strive to live in balance and harmony – and honor the natural order of the Universe.
The best way to optimize American Indian wisdom is to humbly receive it – and then humbly give it away through your actions.
Through the teachings passed on from the elders, you can see that first you must awaken to your life purpose – and from that point on you find your place in this world. This causes you to live intentionally (on purpose).
When you live on purpose you feel a greater sense of ease in everything you do…
One of the keys to this is understanding how living on purpose is the initial step to self-mastery. That’s why the How to Live on Purpose website was created, and why the Life Purpose Quest was developed…to help YOU live on purpose.
Learn to live your life in this manner and you will leave knowing that you have lived a good life.
