What Does Keyword Research

Have To Do With The Law of Attraction?

We’ve all heard that the money is in the list, so how do you attract the people to your list?

From the Desk of:

Dear Inspired Entrepreneur,

What does the Law of Attraction have to do with keywords and keyword research?

It may help to think of it this way…

Keywords are thoughts (expressed energy).

Thoughts on the Internet are expressed in words posted and words search for
whether they are in actual written words, audio, video, or even images.

Keywords are the expressed energy (thoughts) which attract your target market on the Internet.

They are what attracts your ideal client to your site.

What kind of visitors do you think you get if you are not intentionally attracting your ideal client?

You get bounces or information gatherers and not buyers…

You might get some buyers, however you won’t be attracting the ideal client that you could be when using the keywords that your ideal client is looking for.

Keyword research is such an important, if not the most important, part of Internet Marketing.

If you’re not using the right keywords to attract your ideal client, you might as well close your doors.

What are the right keywords?

Let’s say you’re marketing ice,

and that somebody out there wants a cold drink and needs ice to make that happen,

but they don’t know that ice will solve their problem or that ice even exists,

they only know they want a cold drink.

The people looking for a cold drink won’t search for ice,

even though ice is the solution for the cold drink problem.

Your challenge is to be where the cold drink people are…
They haven’t heard of ice yet.

Because the cold drink people are looking for the cold drink and not the ice.

It’s your job to introduce ice to the cold drink people (your ideal client) in a way that makes them realize that ice is what they’ve been looking for all along.

If you are in the Mall yellin’ – “Ice, Ice Baby” on Mall Walker Sunday,

you’d be better off stayin’ in bed.

To connect with your ideal client, you want to be where your ideal client is.

If your keywords are the words you use to describe your service or product

and are not the ones that your ideal client is using or even looking for…

The keyword attraction is missed.

So, how do you attract your ideal clients?

It’s easy…

You just use the words your ideal client is using!

How do you know what words they are using?

Research, research, research, research…

What tools should you use in researching keywords?

There are many many that you can use (all are not created equally):

Who is using those keywords?

  • Figure out if its:
    • Your ideal client?
    • Your competition?
    • Or the information gatherer?

Where do you use the keywords you’ve found?

  • There are several places in each post you must use this keyword for .
    • The title
    • The body
    • The tags

Now that you have some idea of what is involved in doing Keyword Research,

you can see why companies charge well over $300 to do it for you.
